7-30-00 // 10.08 pm why does radio shack ask for your phone number when you buy batteries? I'm sitting around, watching TV and having another pint. I came across the "teaser" for one of the local news broadcasts. The talking head mentioned that a Concorde plane was in the news again, this time because one was forced to make an emergency landing. This announcement was followed by the statment "we'll tell you what celebrities were on board". That right there is late 20th century America summed up in one sentence. I wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow. My desire for another week's pay is slightly stronger though, so I'm going to go in anyway.
