you're a nut! you're crazy in the coconut!

NP: various MP3s, including The Delgados, Deacon Blue, The Avalanches, Tim Finn, and the Jesus & Mary Chain.

Erin turns 21 in like an hour and a half. You all should go wish her a happy birthday.

She already knows what I'm getting her, so I don't feel bad typing it here. It's a Dance Dance Revolution set for the PSX, and we're going to one of the riverboat casinos over the weekend. Rock.

This year for Christmas, I received a big can of mixed nuts from my dad's sister's mother-in-law. She's a very sweet lady, and I'm not trying to poke fun, but this is what she gives for Christmas. And this year I got the same. I think that's some sort of bizarre rite of passage. Either way, they go perfectly with a six pack of Budweiser.

Work has been dodgy lately. I got "talked to" by my manager Friday afternoon. He's not a bad person, but I don't like him as a manager. The whole thing was a big misunderstanding, but I don't like his style or attitude. Oh well. Today we had a two hour long training seminar sort of thing over lunchtime. Stupid time for it, but it was very useful. I think they're gonna have 'em every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from now on. Which is great, that's exactly what I've been after for almost as long as I've worked for these people.

Sometimes I get tired of having to be the one to "make the call", or have to take care of administrative details, bills, repair calls, etc. I dunno, sometimes it just feels like I have too much to do, too much to take care of, you know? It's all part of adulthood, but at the same time, man is it a drag.

Erm. What else... I'm tired. Haven't gotten a really solid night's sleep for what feels like ages. I dunno, this weekend felt like it came and went in a flash, and I didn't get to relax or recharge in any meaningful capacity. I mean, that's the way it goes sometimes, but still.

Anyway, I should get back to the goings-on in the living room. So I'm out of here.
