2-25-01 // 12.42 am this is the 21st century Saturday Night Live was pretty damn good tonight, best one I've seen in ages. I had to do laundry today, I was out of clean just about everything. Since I have five items of coursework to do for Monday, I took care of some of them this afternoon. So now research has been done for my Australian Culture course group presentation, and my Database lab has been polished off. Tomorrow brings another modification to that FORTRAN program, as well as doing up some flow diagram & finishing that Delphi lab for Software Engineering. I'm just glad to be getting things done. Late afternoon I stopped by Cheney hall, hoping to get my copies of "High Fidelity" & "Four Rooms" back from Sara. She and S.P. were moving all their stuff from their basement room to a new one on the top floor...something about residence life consolidating rooms. So I helped them assemble their bunk & I carried some heavy stuff up flights of stairs for them. Yes that's me, big burly moving guy. Sara took me to dinner in the glamorous Towers cafeteria...it was nice to sit there and have a normal, fun conversation. We don't do that terribly often anymore -- I miss it. Oh, and recent weather patterns brought up the fact that last January we simultaneously had snow, thunder & lightning. I was touched that she remembered that the night that happened, we walked down the hill to our dorm together. And now the rather fabulous lyrics to the new Marillion song...do you & me a favor and go download it now...gorgeous, shimmering trip-hop, but even better since H is singing, Pete's on fretless bass, and Rothery's playing guitar. It's all I've been listening to for the past day and a half...someone likened it to crack. Oh, it's way worse than that. A wise man once said I came just as fast as I could This is the 21st century A wise man once wrote We lay on a velvet rug "This is the 21st century And rest your heavy head my love.." This is the 21st century Would you want She shook her head,
