it's just the same garbage war

NP: Jay Farrar - "Sebastopol"

I like knowing this album was recorded in a shed-cum-recording studio in the next village west from my parents' village. I also like that Farrar still retains a physical, musical, and lyrical connection to St. Louis and the metro east that he comes from. This isn't to knock Wilco, whom I adore, but aside from Casino Queen and Heavy Metal Drummer, you'd think that Jeff Tweedy was born and bred in Chicago.

I'm currently drinking a cup of coffee and eating a granola bar that's a sponsor of the PGA Tour. Ugh. Though it doesn't taste half bad, which is thankful, as it was the only moderately healthy breakfast option in the break room.

Last night was great. I left work on time for a change, then Erin and I ate at Denny's, shopped, drove around, and just hung out. I was in a bit of a mood for a while early evening, but I think eating took care of that.

Currently I'm just sitting here killing time, waiting for a database reload so I can finish the current round of testing. Despite the fact that having to wait like this means I have to work harder and faster later, it's still nice to get the breather.
